Gagner petitement et modestement sa vie \u00e0 l&rsquo;abri de l&rsquo;oisivet\u00e9 de femme veuve, tel \u00e9tait son credo. Ma\u00efmouna qui grandit normalement \u00e0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s, semble se lasser de vivre la mis\u00e8re que vit sa m\u00e8re \u00e0 Louga, village calme et paisible. Elle est belle, et en est consciente, belle comme une \u00ab\u00a0djinn\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, belle comme le jour. Sa beaut\u00e9 laissait pantois les nombreux visiteurs qui se pr\u00e9cipitaient dans le salon de Rihanna. Des missives amoureuses, elle en recevait \u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>des dizaines par semaine, tr\u00e8s longues, sinc\u00e8res et correctes, ou fausses et maladroites.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb Capricieuse jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2me, elle d\u00e9cide de rejoindre sa s\u0153ur Rihanna \u00e0 Dakar. Mise en garde par son marabout, Yaye Daro alerte sa s\u0153ur du danger qui plane sur la jeune \u00e0 propos de sa conduite future. Mais Ma\u00efmouna, \u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>L&rsquo;Etoile de Dakar<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb m\u00e8ne une belle vie au cours des premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es avant qu&rsquo;elle ne soit fix\u00e9e sur son sort. Tout Dakar est subjugu\u00e9 par son charme. Ma\u00efmouna est plus qu&rsquo;une star. Elle r\u00eave d&rsquo;une vie faite de luxe et de richesse Rihanna et son mari Bounana lui proposent d&rsquo;\u00e9pouser Galeye un richissime polygame nanti de femmes. Mais Ma\u00efmouna est obs\u00e9d\u00e9 par Doudou Diouf, un pauvre jeune homme aux mani\u00e8res occidentales, follement amoureux d&rsquo;elle. Aid\u00e9 de Yacine, elle tente le tout pour le tout pour assouvir ses d\u00e9sirs. Elle se livra \u00e0 ce dernier comme le lui indiqua son instinct de femme et conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 ses sentiments. Survient une grossesse. D\u00e8s que Bounama, le beau-fr\u00e8re de Ma\u00efmouna apprit la nouvelle, elle fut cong\u00e9di\u00e9e au village aupr\u00e8s de sa m\u00e8re. Doudou Diouf l&rsquo;abandonne \u00e0 son sort. \u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>Avec la fuite des jours son existence pass\u00e9e s&rsquo;en allait, s&rsquo;\u00e9vanouissait, envelopp\u00e9e dans un nuage aux contours impr\u00e9cis. Il lui semblait maintenant que ce pass\u00e9 n&rsquo;avait jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 qu&rsquo;un r\u00eave<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb p.250.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce classique de la litt\u00e9rature africaine \u00e9crit par Abdoulaye Sadji et paru aux Editions Pr\u00e9sence Africaine en 1958, met en lumi\u00e8re la source de dangers potentiels que constitue la ville pour une villageoise na\u00efve, sans aucune exp\u00e9rience. \u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>Ma\u00efmouna<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb c&rsquo;est la fresque d&rsquo;une Afrique \u00e0 deux visages : modernit\u00e9 et tradition, ville et campagne, deux mondes diam\u00e9tralement oppos\u00e9s. Cela se remarque d&rsquo;ailleurs \u00e0 travers la structure binaire de l&rsquo;\u0153uvre o\u00f9 la premi\u00e8re partie montre une vie paysanne calme et presque \u00e9d\u00e9nique, une vie faite de candeur et d&rsquo;innocente o\u00f9 l&rsquo;auteur pr\u00e9sente Ma\u00efmouna comme combl\u00e9e par la pr\u00e9sence de sa poup\u00e9e, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;elle ne commence \u00e0 prendre conscience de sa beaut\u00e9. La deuxi\u00e8me partie nous la montre \u00e0 Dakar chez sa s\u0153ur. Victime de la ville et de sa m\u00e9chancet\u00e9, la fille de Yaye Daro revient \u00e0 Louga, \u00e0 la source, malade, d\u00e9figur\u00e9e, m\u00e9connaissable. Ses r\u00eaves et ses ambitions l&rsquo;ont perdue et c&rsquo;est encore cette terre de Louga qu&rsquo;elle d\u00e9daignait il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, qui l&rsquo;accueille.Ici l&rsquo;on peut percevoir ais\u00e9 le lien que Abdoulaye Sadji \u00e9tablit entre Louga, Yaye Daro et l&rsquo;Afrique. La terre natale ne rejette jamais ses fils, quelle que soit leur errance. L&rsquo;Afrique demeurera toujours ce sein maternel \u00e0 l&rsquo;instar de Yaye Daro, disponible \u00e0 accueillir le fruit de ses entrailles pour panser ses blessures et la r\u00e9concilier avec ses origines. Et ici qu&rsquo;\u00e9clate l&rsquo;\u00e9tendue du g\u00e9nie de l&rsquo;auteur qui clame haut et fort que l&rsquo;avenir de l&rsquo;Homme Noir est ici, en Afrique, dans l&rsquo;acceptation et l&rsquo;assomption de sa culture. Le contraste est flagrant dans le livre entre Louga et Dakar. La ville a rejet\u00e9 M\u00efmouna apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;avoir d\u00e9truite et bris\u00e9e. L&rsquo;Occcident et ses vues ne sont pas n\u00e9cessairement faits pour l&rsquo;Africain. Et ce dernier doit faire preuve de maturit\u00e9 et s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9 pour embrasser cette culture qui n&rsquo;est pas sienne et qui peut lui \u00eatre fatale malgr\u00e9 ses fastes.\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>Ma\u00efmouna<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb est un bon livre qui fait r\u00e9fl\u00e9chit et qui repose aujourd&rsquo;hui le probl\u00e8me de l&rsquo;immigration. Le bonheur se trouve-t-il n\u00e9cessairement de l&rsquo;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9? Ailleurs est-il toujours la derni\u00e8re solution?
